D.C. Industries offers heat-treating operations that reduce residual stresses in cast iron. By heating a part to an elevated temperature, and then cooling it at a controlled rate, we achieve better consistency in casting dimensions, increased machine-ability, and an increase in physical aspects of the final product. Our stress-relieving furnace has a maximum capacity of 200,000 lbs of cast iron per day and is able to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
